"I Can't Believe You Said That!"

This is some text inside of a div block.
A picture tells 1000 words:

This fabulous team of professionals from the Public Sector joined me for a series of leadership learning events. A picture tells 1000 words, and this picture reflects the energy and enthusiasm they brought to the learning environment.

The power of conversations:

The leadership landscape has been transformed in recent years as a result of a deeper understanding of behaviour through the study of neuroscience. Conversational Intelligence® emerges from this body of research.

It provides us with insights into human interaction, and the tools to engage people differently and affect change through our conversations.

This is proving a game-changer in the workplace. Conversations are under-rated as tools for change. When in conversation our brains are engaged, firing up our neurotransmitters and releasing a chemical mix that influences our behaviour. We can use this knowledge to better manage ourselves, and others when unhelpful emotions are triggered.

No wonder we are turning our minds to the power of conversation.

The intent of a message is frequently lost in translation. And the impact, while unintended, can have far-reaching consequences. My work with teams begins with the conversations they are having with each other.

I was fortunate to study with the late Judith Glaser author of Conversational Intelligence: How Great Leaders Build Trust and Get Extraordinary Results.

"...the quality of the conversation drives the nature of the impact. At the moment of contact, conversations have the power to transform our lives." - Judith Glaser

Meaning rests with the listener. So it is critical that we have the knowledge and skill to be clear on the impact of our conversations.

Our conversations have the power to transform the culture of our teams and our workplaces.
